Accellion FTA Data Breach cash settlement--You Have a Choice
The Lakeshore Law Center is filing a lawsuit against Accellion USA, LLC for massive data breaches affecting users of its FTA (File Transfer Appliance) software that were disclosed in December 2020.
If you received a notice from Accellion—or from a business, university, or government agency that uses Accellion FTA—that you were a victim, we are willing to represent you. Because we're bringing lawsuits for our clients individually (as a group, but NOT as a class action) we can get you a much better result—something better than the tiny amounts class actions usually get. We've had success at this before.
Depending on the entity administering the FTA, information included personal information such as names, addresses, zip codes/postal codes, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers, and bank account numbers.
You should have received a letter from Accellion or from one of its FTA users notifying you that you were a victim of the breach. We do not know if your information has been compromised. If you believe you may have gotten a notice, but are unsure you can follow up with whichever of the below companies you are associated with.
Here is a list of the known FTA users who have been compromised to date:
• ABS Group
• Arizona Complete Health
• Australian Securities and Investments Commission
• Australia’s Transport for New South Wales
• Bombardier
• Centene Corp.
• Danaher
• Flagstar Bank
• Health Net
• Jones Day
• Kroger
• Kroger Pharmacy
• Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
• Office of the Washington State Auditor
• Qualys
• Reserve Bank of New Zealand
• Royal Dutch Shell
• Singtel
• Stanford Medicine (Palo Alto, Calif.)
• Stanford University
• Trillium Health Plan
• Trinity Health
• University of California
• University of Colorado
• University of Maryland, Baltimore
• University of Miami
• University of Miami Health (Coral Gables, Fla.)
• U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
• Yeshiva University
**UPDATE**: By University of California, we mean every school in the system. Per the Univeristy of California's website: On June 30 and July 1, they sent individual notices to those whose personal information was impacted by the breach where contact information was available. Notifications were sent via USPS mail where they had a current physical address. If the University did not have an individual’s physical address on file but did have an email address, they sent the notification via email. The email came from “The University of California” (no-reply@marketing.csid.com).
If you are part of the University of California system (either as a student, employee, or faculty) and believe you have been compromised, but can't find your June 30 or July 1 notice, the University of California has created a dedicated call center available toll free in the U.S. at (866) 904-6220 from 6:00AM to 8:00PM PT on Monday through Friday and from 8:00AM to 5:00PM PT on Saturday and Sunday. Members of the UC community may also send questions to communications@ucop.edu. Please follow up with them to see if your information was compromised, and if it was, then you can join the lawsuit. **UPDATE**
We represented many victims in similar data breach lawsuit that settled for a $992 payment to each client. We cannot disclose the name of that company because it is confidential. Other persons did not hire us but just participated in a class action got only a few dollars each. We can do better than "a few dollars" for our clients because we represent you, not the whole class.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This website is not affiliated with any pending class actions against Accellion USA, LLC. Those cases have not yet settled. This website is hosted by the Lakeshore Law Center, a private law firm, that has experience representing people like you who would like to get a better settlement than that offered in typical class action settlements. To get what you deserve from Accellion, or at least something fairer than you can expect from a class action, click the JOIN NOW button on this page.
